Partnership Grants
Partnership Grants
Lifelites is seeking to support four new transformational projects, which will harness technology to improve health and wellbeing for children and young people with life-limiting conditions.
Organisations seeking funding will submit applications for projects that will use technology to deliver new and innovative models of care or one off capital projects. These projects could provide innovative solutions for digital inclusion or could provide revolutionary new ways to support children and young people who live with specific life-limiting conditions.
Lifelites will work with grantees to offer partnership grants that will provide funding, advice and connections to support the delivery of these projects.
Grants of up to £250,000 are available for transformational projects, which seek to use technology to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for children and young people with life-limiting conditions.
Projects will demonstrate direct, measurable impact for children, young people and their families.
Priority will be given to projects that clearly evidence solutions to address an unmet need, either through increasing access to services to marginalised groups, projects that provide services in locations where other services for children and young people are unavailable or innovative service models that improve outcomes.
Funding is available for:
- Equipment and software costs
- Capital infrastructure essential to the delivery of the project
- Salary costs
- Project management costs
- Third party suppliers and contractors (evidence of quotations and value for money assessment will be required)
- Reasonable contribution to core costs expended as part of the project
We will consider funding multi-year projects (1-3 years) and capital projects commencing within 12 months of application.
We will fund registered charities and regulated organisations with a proven track record of delivering services for children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.*
- Projects must support children and young people in Britain and Ireland (British Isles).
- Organisations must have been running with a verifiable client base for a minimum of three years
- Projects must provide the majority of their support for children and young people (1-18 years) with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.
- We will also consider projects that support young adults up to age 25, if they also support children and young people.
- Projects must be able to demonstrate a transformational, measurable and demonstrable impact for these individuals and their families.
- Projects must provide detailed project plans, budgeting and evaluation frameworks to demonstrate successful delivery of these projects.
- Projects must be exclusive to Lifelites i.e. a unique programme, single capital project or specific bespoke element of a capital project.
- Funding will not be provided as a general contribution to a larger development or programme.
- Projects should be different in nature to Lifelites existing assistive technology packages i.e. funding is not simply for ‘more’ assistive technology.
- We will consider multi-organisation partnerships on a case by case basis.
- Organisations can be existing partners of Lifelites but we would expect to see applicants demonstrating how their project could significantly extend existing reach or deliver transformational change for children and families.
- Organisations must agree to recognise and celebrate Lifelites and its role in supporting their project.
*Life-limiting conditions are those that cannot be cured and where death in childhood is likely.
Life-threatening conditions are those that may be cured, but where treatments may not be successful and a child could die.
Projects will support children and young people living with significant medical complexity and uncertainty.
- Social Enterprises, Community Interest Companies, or un-registered community interest groups
- Individuals
- Applications which will not provide direct support for children with life-limiting conditions i.e. we will not fund general IT upgrades or digital infrastructure projects
- General appeals
- Feasibility studies
- Retrospective funding
- Political lobbying or activities
- Promotion of any religious doctrine
- Projects for beneficiaries outside of Britain and Ireland
