Leeanne Took the Plunge for Charity

In a thrilling display of courage and generosity, Leeanne Boothe, a long-time supporter of the Remington Club, completed a breathtaking skydive this past May to raise vital funds for Lifelites. The skydive, which took place over the picturesque landscapes of Langar in Nottingham, offered spectacular views – and an equally impactful outcome.

Leeanne had always dreamed of skydiving but had never quite mustered the courage to take the leap. That all changed last Christmas when her husband surprised her with the experience as a gift. Inspired by the cause and encouraged by her family and friends, Leeanne turned her adventure into a fundraiser for Lifelites, a charity she first learned about through the Remington Club, which has a longstanding history of supporting Lifelites.

“When my husband gave me the skydiving experience, I initially thought ‘I can’t do this’ but once it settled in and I had done it – it was amazing. One of the best experiences of my life. And to do it all for such a great cause was wonderful”

Friends and family rallied behind Leeanne, contributing to her fundraising efforts and eagerly anticipating her leap. Among her biggest cheerleaders was her father, who made his donation all the way from Spain.

The skydive was an unforgettable experience. Leeanne, who doesn’t consider herself an adrenaline junkie, is already entertaining thoughts of a bungee jump as her next adventure. “I haven’t mentioned it to my husband yet,” she joked. “I’m afraid he’d book it for me on the spot!”

Lifelites’ Senior Engagement and Relationships Officer, Lucy Waring, commended Leeanne’s efforts, saying, “We are incredibly grateful to Leeanne and everyone who supported her. The funds raised will go a long way in bringing joy, comfort, and opportunities to the children and young people we serve.”
