Lifelites Technology Showcase at CIBC
We were recently invited to the head office of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) at St Paul’s, London, to showcase the assistive and sensory technology we supply to palliative care partners across Britain and Ireland.
The team at CIBC were able to experience our state-of-the-art virtual reality headsets, try out the ground-breaking Eyegaze technology that enables non-communicative children to connect with the people they love, and play interactive games using the COSMO switch system.
CIBC World Markets Children’s Foundation Treasurer, Tom Broad, “It was truly inspirational to meet the team at Lifelites and experience first-hand the technology which they are able to provide to help families who are living through the most trying times. It was great to see the therapeutic outputs of some of the equipment, but also to see that it allows children to experience the world in a way which is new to them and interact in new ways with the world around them. The team are passionate about what they do and that was clear throughout the showcase.”
We love being able to show people the incredible power of the technology and demonstrate the impact donations and fundraising have for children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
Rob Lightfoot, Chief Executive of Lifelites, said, “We are so grateful to CIBC for giving us this opportunity to demonstrate what our technology, training and support services means to children, families and palliative care professionals across Britain and Ireland.
It’s difficult sometimes to really comprehend the impact of this technology until you try it yourself, so having the CIBC team come along and be so enthusiastically ‘hands-on’ was fantastic”.
