Jewson Crawley raise over £450 for Lifelites charity, through a festive raffle

Every year, Jewson Crawley, host a raffle for their traders to have the chance to win a bundle of goodies, from chocolates, to tools. It’s a fantastic prize for all who enter, and to make it even better they give all the proceeds to charity.

Jewson’s is an organisation that provides building supplies to local traders for projects of all sizes, with specific expertise in timber. Jewson Crawley, based in the Three Bridges area, organise a raffle for their customers to enter every year. They even have prizes donated from local trading companies, so it’s a great way to get the community involved whilst raising money for a great cause.

The charity changes each year, as Jewson offer the winner of the raffle to nominate a charity. The 2024 winner, Grahame Fox, from Fox & Co, chose to support Lifelites, a charity that provides assistive technology to children across Britain and Ireland.

Lifelites, is a small national charity that help local communities, by providing assistive technology to children with life-limiting conditions and complex disabilities. Lifelites support every children’s hospice across Britain and Ireland, and are striving to reach even more children with their technology. The aim is that every child and young person can play, learn and connect with their families, as well as the world around them.

Bryan, a Lifelites technology specialist, went to the raffle winner’s celebration, where he met winner and nominator, Grahame Fox, as well as Jewson Branch Manager, Jack Wells, and Jewson Assistant Branch Manager, Mohammed Ghafar. Jewson Crawley managed to raise an incredible £484 through their raffle, and donated all of it to Lifelites. Once Jack and Mohammed heard about the amazing work Lifelites does for families, both locally and across the country, they have decided to provide future support to the charity.

Jack said,

“Once Grahame sent us the details [about Lifelites], and we met Bryan, we knew the money was going to a fantastic cause, and it’s a privilege to help such a worthy charity.”
