Lifelites 25: A Pioneering Programme

To celebrate our 25^th anniversary year, Lifelites is delighted to announce the launch of our ground-breaking new Lifelites 25 programme. Over the next three years, we will be supporting 25 new life-changing projects for children and young people living with life-limiting conditions and medical complexity.

With 25 years of expertise in children’s palliative care, we know that our sensory and assistive technology, as well as our bespoke training and technical support, empowers children to play, communicate with the people they love, explore the world around them and express themselves in ways that would otherwise be impossible.

Ever since we delivered our first package of technology for Demelza Children’s Hospice, Kent, Lifelites has strived to enable children and young people with life-limiting conditions to experience childhoods filled with inclusion, happiness and meaningful connection with their loved ones.

Through our existing partnerships, including every children’s hospice in Britain and Ireland, we provide access to these special technologies for over 13,500 children and young people every year.

However, we know that the children’s palliative care sector is evolving at pace, with more children than ever living with life-limiting conditions and complex disabilities. In fact, there are an estimated 99,000 children living with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions in the UK.

We are determined to expand our reach by inviting organisations supporting children with life-limiting conditions and their families to apply for packages of technology worth up to £25,000 each. Lifelites 25 will support 7 community based services per year for the next 3 years (21 in total).

In addition, we are also offering grants of up to £250,000 each for 4 transformational projects which will use technology in innovative ways to create life-changing outcomes for children, young people and their families.
