Innovation, inclusion and impact
We aim to partner with passionate philanthropists who want to make a tangible life-changing difference to children, young people and their families through the power of assistive and sensory technology.
Innovation
Innovation is in our blood. It drives everything we have done since we installed our first technology package in 1999.
Whether it’s the revolutionary Eyegaze which enables non-verbal children to control a computer with their eyes, or the award winning Soundbeam that allows children with limited mobility to create music and sound effects, your support will unlock new and exciting opportunities for more children to play, create and communicate.
We are also transforming our training services, giving parents, palliative care professionals, teachers and other children’s service providers access to our new e-learning portal.
Inclusion
Life-limiting conditions can cause serious physical, cognitive and communication challenges, which often lead to social isolation for children and their families.
Studies show that social isolation often leads to diminishing confidence, causing children and young people to withdraw and become detached from familiar people in their lives like family, close friends and carers.
Your support will empower inclusion, enabling children to communicate with loved ones, play with friends and siblings, access education and explore the world around them.
Together we will help families live a life of connection and inclusivity.
Impact
Our technology and training has a real and tangible impact on the lives of the children and families we support.
Our 2023/24 palliative care partner monitoring data highlighted:
- 96% of partners reported that our services significantly reduce social isolation, helping families stay connected.
- 98% observed increased independence in children, enabling them to engage more actively and take control.
- 100% reported enhanced emotional wellbeing, with our technology alleviating stress and boosting happiness.
- 94% reported improved communication, particularly enabling non-verbal children to express themselves.
- 98% saw strengthened family relationships and improved coping mechanisms.
Your support will help us change the lives of more children and families.
I have always supported children’s charities and when I heard about the fantastic work that Lifelites does empowering children with life-limiting conditions by using the latest technology, I wanted to get involved.
